Indonesia it self have a lot of traditional dances but, only particular area that still preserve the traditional dances and cultural events. in Bali you will find almost anywhere for the dance performances, the most famous Kecak dance performance is located in Uluwatu area where you need to climb up a little bit to the top and sit on the park over the hill facing the beautiful sunset of Bali while the dancers are perform. But really any kind of place is just suitable for this kind of performance.
This time I went to Ubud and make a time to accompany my friend who curious about this and we watch this together. They gave us the brochure about the story of Ramayana that interpreted in the dancers move, you can see from their costumes and every single gesture from their hands and eyes have a meaning. Prepare yourself to feel a little mesmerized by the dance because it contains a mystical and sacred feeling and also culture value. in the middle of the part the dancer will sort of in "Trance" and he could eat or walking through the fire ball without causing an injure or pain.
So, next time you are in Bali, make sure to check this one out :)
