[Bali] Wonderful - Tegalalang Rice Terraces
June 27, 2016
This area is mostly visit by the foreign tourist and maybe it's because if you live in Indonesia you will see rice terraces in any other area than Bali, but yes it's only in certain area especially in village and absolutely not in Central City like Jakarta.
for me itself at first i was thinking that it's gonna be like any other regular rice terraces, but when you see itself you will understand that it's magnificent because normally the rice terraces it's not this high but in here, you will feel very small surroundings this stunning panorama.
The planting and irrigation system of the rice field terrace is known as subak (in Balinese, different name in different region). The land is cropped out into several layers so the water could flow naturally from the hilltop to the lower area.you could take a tour around the field from the lower area to the top, and you will find restaurant or small cafe, the farmers who sold a woven hat from coconut's leave and will take a pose with tourist for a small fee and if you walk long enough you will find them ask you for charity you could give them like IDR 5.000 or IDR 10.000, small amount to help others while enjoying this view.
Many small shops in the main road selling some of the art and painting, craft, fabric and clothes and any other stuff that slightly different from Kuta or any other market.
From this place you could visit and drinking Luwak Coffee in Bali Pulina, which is not far from this place, which in my previous post.
They can't stop laughing at me while i'm struggling to take a tour down this field with slippery sandals and skirt...haha..but, it's totally photo worth ..tehee :p
