Ulen Sentalu Museum is a javanese culture and art museum located in Kaliurang Highland, Yogyakarta
and is the best museum in yogyakarta based on Tripadvisor. (source)
Ulen Sentalu means a lamp which the philosophy means guide to living this life according to javanese art & culture (wayang kulit).
you will be welcomed by the tour guide of the museum when you enter this museum at the front gate, when i walk into this museum it felt like you were walking into the maze that leads you to another place where they're divided into several places.the tour itself taking 1 hour and they didn't allow us to photo-taking and touching the museum collections.
there are so many collections that shows us the story of old Keraton (kingdom) in Yogyakarta, we can see from the painting of the princes, the king and the member of Keraton, handwritten poem,letters of the royal family, gamelan (traditional music instruments), and Batik that tell us the story and different social status from the motif of the Batik.

This Museum is really authentic and beautiful but for me it's more suitable if the guide let us running around the museum with map and little book about the museum collections.
Restaurant Boukenhoff
after you cycling around the museum, you can sit and enjoy the view while sipping hot tea an enjoy your lunch in this european style restaurant.
