I was thinking the same way too, because it is the most famous one in Bali

But there are other location that will serve you with beautiful panoramic and place to meet a lot of monkeys.

Alas Kedaton is located at Alas Kedaton Kukuh Street, Marga 82181, and if you are from Kuta it will take 1 hour.

Alas Kedaton is well known for the beautiful forest and there is a temple calles Alas Kedaton in the center of the forest, where there are a lot of animals, such as; monkey, snake and bat.
There are approximately 1.800 monkeys who lived in the area.


and I think the monkeys in here are not as aggressive as they are in Ubud Monkey Forest.


when you arrive you will be guided with the ranger (and yes as return they will ask you not for giving them tips but buy their products in their shop). they will guide you along the way and teach you how to avoid the monkeys to not steal your accessories or other things that you might have like phone or other things in your pocket or body, she will give you some little toys (catapult) to scared the monkey and how to behave so the monkey is not going to aggressively approaching you.


The People in here,They believed that the forest are sacred place so they never cut the tree.
